Presentation to Hendersonville Exchange Club

Thanks to the Hendersonville Club and Alex Bell for inviting us to speak at one of their regular meetings.  Executive Director Dawn Eaton gave the club an overview of Center activities.

Vandy Law Students & South Nashville Club Volunteer Time

First year Vanderbilt Law students gathered with members of the South Nashville Exchange Club to spruce up the center.   Weeds were pulled, toys cleaned, trees cut and rooms cleared out.  What a productive day!  Thanks a million everyone…

A Special Thanks to ASC Signs in Murfreesboro 

They repaired the loose board in the eaves of our Murfreesboro Building.  Exchange Club member and ASC Sign owner, Daren Chamblee brought a bucket truck after president Rob McConnell couldn’t reach it with his ladder.  Thanks guys!  Someone could have been hurt if the board fell.  You all rock!

Theta Alpha Phi Donates over 200 Books

Alumni and collegiates with Theta Alpha Phi meet in Cool Springs for their annual convention.  As part of their service to the communities in which they meet, they make an annual contribution.  This year, The Family Center was the recipient of over 200 brand new children’s books.  The staff and the children were so excited.  We were able to give away some of our used books as we made room for the new ones.  A special thanks to Kappa Delta Alum Shannon Worley for making the connection for us. 

All Work & No Play

Not at the Center.  We try to have a good time along the way.  The staff from both the Murfreesboro and Nashville offices recently gathered to share a meal and bowl a few games.  We are sworn to secrecy about the scores.  I think we are best to keep our day jobs!

United Way Kicks Off $3 Million Campaign

Jeff Puster, Program Director of the Murfreesboro Office has helped United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties kick of their $3 million annual campaign.  A number of agencies have visited the Center to see firsthand how the United Way helps it partner agencies.  Jeff is shown below at Dr. Warren Johnson’s Office Meeting.
