Two successful April fundraisers

The 7th Annual Celebrity Waiters Dinner by the Murfreesboro Exchange Club was on April 7 at Stones River Country Club, benefiting The Family Center.  The evening included a live auction of exciting items/adventures and also a silent auction.  “Wow, what a fun event, there was so much energy in the room,” said The Family Center CEO, Dawn Eaton.  “How often do you get that many Grand Old Opry veterans on one stage for such a great cause?  The Exchange Club volunteer leadership was fantastic,” she concluded.  Celebrity Waiters included T. Graham Brown, Daryl Worley, Irlene Mandrell, Stella Parton, two MTSU Blue Raider basketball players and Lulu Roman.  Thanks to the Murfreesboro Exchange Club for their hard work. The first annual Change the Tune was April 9 at Marathon Music Works in Nashville, chaired by Grace Richards.  Over 350 guests enjoyed dinner by Corner Market Catering, a silent auction and a live auction.  Songwriters performing at the event included Tim James, Rivers Rutherford, Kendell Marvel and Tim Nichols. “Change the Tune, with net proceeds exceeding $90,000, is the most successful spring fundraiser we have ever had,” noted The Family Center CEO, Dawn Eaton.  “Grace and her wonderful volunteer committee created an entirely new event.  They delivered a creative, fun evening, which drew a whole new group of guests,” she continued.   Event photos by Sarah B.
