We need your help to Stop Child Abuse Now. Whether you have a lot or just a little time to give, there are many ways you can fight child abuse as a Family Center volunteer.
This page will give you ideas of how you can help serve the children of Middle Tennessee. Please read through the descriptions and use the form below so that we will know more about you. Give us as much information as you can and we will review your request and contact you soon.

Assist the Development Director in locating and analyzing
potential funding sources

Support
development of collateral materials (newsletter, annual
report, etc.)

Public Relations
- Assist in raising the agency’s public profile in the
community through the media, public speaking, etc.
- Develop relationships with media and other entities
- Education: Minimum of junior year in college or equivalent
- Personal computer with Internet and email capability
- Experience in public relations or media a plus
- Hours: variable, but flexible
- Ability to come to Nashville Center two hours weekly
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Must pass background check
- One year commitment preferred, but exceptions made
- May volunteer from home

interactions between parent and child during visitation

Must complete a pre- and post-visit assessment

to intervene and set limits as appropriate

Hours: From
two to six hours, usually on Saturday or Sunday. However,
may be
requested to assist at other times.
- May be required to appear in court as an informational witness

Monitor. Check clients in, verify identification, receive

Monitor. Escort children from one parent or guardian to
the other; complete Exchange Report, may also serve as
Building Monitor

Typically 1.5 hours on Friday and Sunday late afternoon

Experience
- Instructional experience preferred

operate PowerPoint
Hours: Typically evenings, weekends and/or weekday
mornings, ranging from two to five hours depending on
type of class, up to an eight-week session
